Thorn's Doggy Sweater
Supplies:
1/2 skein of yarn. I used super saver yarn.
scrap yarn for accent
"F" hk
Instructions:
Skirt and Bottom Panel:
Row 1: Begin with main yarn color. You'll be starting at the hem of the sweater. Ch 50, sl st in beg st to make a lp.
Ch 3 (beg dc here and throughout), dc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Row 3: Switch to accent color. Ch 1, sc in sm st, sc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Rows 4-5: Switch to main color. Repeat row 2.
Row 6: Repeat row 3.
Rows 7-9: Repeat rows 4-6.
Row 10: Switch to main color. You'll be making the bottom panel of the sweater.
Turn. Ch 3, dc in nxt 10 sts.
Rows 11-14: Turn. Ch 3, dc in next 10 sts. Tie off.
Top panel:
Row 10: Use main color. You'll start in 10th row of last set of instructions. From last st, count 7 sts,
sl st in next st. Ch 3, dc in next 24 sts. You should have 7 sts left over before the
bottom panel begins.
Rows 11-14: Turn. Ch 3, dc in ea st across.
Do NOT tie off.
Neck: With main color, ch 7, sl st in next dc of row 14 on Bottom Panel, sl st in ea st across, ch 7, sl
st in beg st of row 14 on Top Panel. Ch 3, dc in ea st around the neckline, sl st in beg
dc. Total: 50 dcs.
Tie off.
Tie:
With main color, ch 101, sl st in 2nd st from hk, sl st in ea st. Tie off. Weave tie in and out of dcs
around neckline.
Sleaves:
Row 1: Start with main color of yarn. Working around the edge of either armhole
sc in ea st and 3 scs in side of ea dc, sl st in beg st.
Row 2: Ch 3, dc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Row 3: Switch to accent color. Ch 1, sc in same st and ea st around, sl st in beg
st.
Row 4: Switch to main color. Ch 1, sc in same st and ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Tie off.
Repeat rows 1-4 for second armhole.
