"Rosie's Doggy Sweater Free Pattern"

Rosie's Doggy Sweater

You need:
1/2 skein of yarn. I used super saver yarn.
scrap yarn for trim
"F" hk

Instructions:

Skirt and Bottom Panel:
Row 1: You'll be starting at the hem of the sweater. Ch 50, sl st in beg st to make a lp.
Ch 3 (beg dc here and throughout), dc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Rows 2-8: Ch 3, dc in ea st around, sl st in beg st.
Row 9: You'll be making the bottom side of the sweater. Turn. Ch 3, dc in nxt 10 sts.
Rows 10-13: Turn. Ch 3, dc in next 10 sts. Tie off.

Top panel:
Row 9: You'll start in 9th row of last set of instructions. From last st, count 7 sts,
sl st in next st. Ch 3, dc in next 24 sts. You should have 7 sts left over before the
bottom panel begins.
Rows 10-13: Turn. Ch 3, dc in ea st across. Do NOT tie off.

Neck:
Row 1: Ch 7, sl st in next dc of row 13 on Bottom Panel, sl st in ea st across, ch 7, sl
st in beg st of row 13 on Top Panel. Ch 3, dc in ea st around the neckline, sl st in beg
st. Total: 50 dcs.
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in ea st around neckline, sl st in beg st. Tie off.

Tie:
Ch 101, sl st in 2nd st from hk, sl st in ea st. Tie off. Weave tie in and out of dcs
around neckline.

Sleaves:
1st armhole:
Row 1: Starting in row 9, you'll be working up the bottom panel and around armhole.
Sl st in beg st on row 9, ch 1, 3 scs in side of same dc, 3 scs in sides of ea of next 4
dcs, 1 sc in ea of next 7 sts, 3 scs in in sides of next 5 dcs, 1 sc in ea of next 7 sts,
sl st in beg st.
Row 2: Turn. Sc in next st, 1 hdc in ea of next 2 sts, 2 dcs in ea of next 23 sts, 1 hdc
in ea of next 2 sts, sc in next st. Tie off.

2nd armhole:
On WS of work repeat instructions for 1st armhole.

Trim:
With scrap yarn for trim, sl st in any sc at neckline. Ch 1, sc in same st. * Ch 3,
sk 1 st. sc in next st. Rep from * around neckline. Sl st in beg st. Tie off.

With scrap yarn, sl st in any st at hem. Ch 1, sc in same st. *Ch 3, sk 1 st, sc in next
st. Rep from * around hem. Sl st in beg st. Tie off.

Add tassels to the ends of the tie.
